A frame-by-frame mixed media trailer developed in collaboration with James Stewart was used to convey the dynamic characteristics of the team at 99JACKALS to define and represent the agency's core identity.

1 OVERVIEW

Founded with the goal of creating a "Damn Good Media Agency", the 99JACKALS ethos was inspired by the symbolic power of the jackal—optimistic omnivores who thrive in their environment. We handled development, identity, merchandise, and website design. The brand was developed around this concept of jackals representing the remaining nimble omnivores of industry x culture. This concept fueled the creation of a dynamic, adaptable identity for a full-production company.

2 APPROACH

From the outset, the brand strategy was focused on crafting a brand that had mass appeal, resonating with emerging creatives or established corporations. The adaptability of the logo played a crucial role in this, with several iterations explored to cater to varied demographics. Younger, more organic approaches to the jackals and the "99" shapes were incorporated alongside more sophisticated, structured designs, ensuring that 99JACKALS was positioned for success across audiences. 

3 BRAND IDENTITY

The visual identity of 99JACKALS was anchored by the development of a monoblock icon featuring two jackal heads. This simple yet powerful logo visually represents the dual leadership of the brand and the symbiotic relationship between creativity and business strategy. The bold wordmark "99JACKALS" complemented this icon, creating a strong, recognizable foundation for the brand’s identity.

4 BRAND ASSETS

A cohesive set of brand assets was created with consistency in mind to link all physical and digital touchpoints. Each asset, from packaging to business cards, and the website was designed to reflect the bold, adaptable nature of 99JACKALS across all mediums.

5 WEBSITE

Simplicity was the strategy for creating an understated backdrop as a showcase for the 99JACKALS portfolio. We began with a bespoke loading page, followed by a presentation of work displayed uniformly before hovering. To lead into project breakdowns, custom cuts of each sizzle trailer were made, playing when hovered over. This choice created an interactive, singular place to view the work and previews with ease of navigation. ‍
