We incorporated a retro, analog approach to create a gritty, nostalgic effect that would stand out on stage. Utilizing analog synthesizers and vintage machinery, we crafted a distorted, electrified look for the Disturbing the Peace logo. The process involved running the logo through a series of analog signal processors, resulting in a visual that feels organic yet unpredictable, with the glitching, pulsating outlines adding a raw energy to the live performance.

Paying homage to the iconic imagery from Ludacris’ “Get Back” music video, where his larger-than-life arms dominated the screen, we turned this concept into a fully immersive 3D visual. The goal was to recreate that commanding presence, making it feel like Luda was truly telling the crowd to “get back.”
Disturbing the Peace—a slogan repped and owned by Luda—was also reimagined with updated visuals to match the hot and cold energy of different tracks.

For Area Codes, we shot green screen footage of dancers, which we superimposed into 3D frosted glass numbers. The visuals played out interactively with the lyrics, creating a seamless connection between the visuals and performance, triggering in sync with the show.

The visuals had to seamlessly align with Ludacris' long-standing brand while offering a fresh, dynamic perspective that audiences would immediately connect with. We crafted bespoke renditions for each song, ensuring that they could be adapted for future shows and tours.

after sitting down to discuss how to lean into memorabilia with lead 3d animator Ben G -> he came up with this sketch

Drawing from Ludacris’ iconic use of oversized arms as props in previous performances, we brought this concept into the digital realm by creating 3D renderings of Luda breaking through a wall, gripping his DTP chain. As he moved, the chain swung dramatically in front of the audience, creating a powerful visual moment that tied the past to the present.

The visual was designed to amplify the raw power and attitude of the performance, creating a visceral connection between Ludacris and the audience. Paired with the 3D arms.

The visuals for Ludacri's 2023 tour added a new layer to his performances, each bespoke visual was crafted to not only match the energy of the tracks. But to become a lasting part of Ludacris's ever evolving stage presence + brand.
